We had Mikhaila Peterson Fuller on the show recently, and we are absolutely obsessed with her. She’s a rising star that somehow manages to be completely down-to-earth when you speak with her.
While she was on the show, she shared some interesting details about Peterson Academy. Peterson Academy is an online alternative to traditional universities. It was founded by Mikhaila Peterson Fuller and her father, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson.
After hearing Mikhaila’s thoughts on the state of college in America (& having our own concerns), we were intrigued. So, we decided to dedicate today’s post to Peterson Academy.
The academy offers something different than what traditional institutes of higher education offer. We’re here to tell you exactly what’s going on with the Peterson’s online universal education platform. Plus, you’ll learn how it can help YOU!
Of course, the best place to start learning about the educational experience you can have with Peterson Academy is directly from the source: Mikhaila Peterson Fuller. You can watch her episode of the show here:
What is Peterson Academy? Meet the Founder Mikhaila Peterson Fuller
Peterson Academy was created to offer an ideology-free education. Not only that, but Mikhaila and her dad wanted to create an educational platform that was accessible and affordable for everyone.
They saw a problem with the traditional college model of going tens of thousands of dollars into debt for a degree that was often inapplicable. This wasn’t a sustainable model in their eyes. They knew that people deserved a chance to feel like they were a part of the conversation without feeling like a moron. And, they shouldn’t have to go into debt in order to do it.
The academy offers 8-hour courses taught by multiple different educators. The educational platform has both a video course aspect and a social media aspect to it. This platform was designed to protect free speech in order to have meaningful conversations with one another.
How Does Peterson Academy Work?
After paying the subscription fee and applying, you’ll be accepted into Peterson Academy. The goal of this academy is not to be exclusive. Its purpose is to make education accessible for everyone.
Acceptance into the program gives you access to all current and past courses. These courses are delivered in 8-hour lecture format. At the time of writing this article, there are 38+ courses available, taught by world-class professors.

Who Is Mikhaila Peterson?
Mikhaila Peterson is the CEO of Peterson Academy, but she’s also a podcaster and a lifestyle & diet blogger. Prior to creating Peterson Academy, Mikhaila created the Lion Diet in an effort to heal her chronic illness.
Mikhaila was born on January 4th, 1992. She’d grown up as a sick kid, in part due to mold exposure illness. Though, symptoms of her condition were present prior to the mold infection.
As a child up until age 23, Mikhaila suffered from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and chronic fatigue. Her fatigue was so severe she was able to nap while on Adderall. You can hear more about her experience growing up sick here.
The Lion Diet is an elimination diet that restricts all food except meat from animals that chew their cud. And girl, we’re talking ALL food except meat. Mikhaila told us she eats strip steak for every meal most days!
And, believe it or not, the Lion Diet worked WONDERS for her. Her conditions no longer flare up. She was even able to get off of all eight medications she’d been prescribed! Seriously, you’ve got to hear this for yourself. Plus, you can literally see how healthy she looks! Watch here.
How Did Mikhaila Peterson Fuller Start The Peterson Academy?
Mikhaila saw a demand for high-quality education free from ideological constraints.
When Mikhaila attended college from 2011-2013, she was unimpressed with the courses that were offered. She’d grown up with her very intellectual father. So, when these professors didn’t seem to know what they were doing, she knew something needed to change.
Plus, she found that many courses pushed certain ideologies that she felt were diluting the actual classes. She wanted courses that allowed people to form their own opinions, rather than being brainwashed into them.
She and her dad put out an intro to personality course.
She told us that around 2018-2019, she told her dad he should put out an intro to personality course. “Everyone can benefit from knowing what their personality is,” she said. “…that’s good for everyone.” So, they put out a 6-hour intro to personality course.
The course was a massive success.
After they put the course out, it gained a lot of traction. This sparked another idea for Mikhaila.
She had the idea to provide more courses from other teachers.
When they recognized how successful the course was, Mikhaila was inspired. She told us: “I was like, first of all, we could do more for you. But, we could do that for everybody who’s smart, who has a message to share.”
She launched the beta version of Peterson Academy.
Mikhaila and her team sought out some of the world’s best educators. These courses are taught by professors from prestigious universities who were willing to teach outside the confines of modern ideologies.
Right now, there are over 38 courses available, with 4 new courses added every month. Let’s look at some of the courses included.
