DISCUSSION QUESTIONS WITH
( 4:56 ): Lauryn says,“To start to give context, maybe just give a little background on how you became so interested in the topic of money.”
( 17:40 ): Lauryn asks, “I remember a certain period of time like I always focused on learning, but I never wanted to look at any of the accounts. I never wanted to face what was going on. didn’t want to look at any bills. I think there’s a lot of people that are in that position where it’s like this thing is so daunting, so overwhelming, at least in their minds right now, they just don’t address it. They don’t look. They don’t take it on. What can people do if they’re in that position and they are like ‘Okay, I have never thought about money’?” Like, what’s step one for these people?”
( 37:33 ): Michael says, “What are the tactical things when you’re starting out that you can do to start putting yourself in a better position to either earn more, save more, or afford more?”
( 42:05 ): Michael asks, “What do you tell the person that’s like ‘Okay, Ramit, this sounds good. It’s great. But im in debt, and I have credit card debt, and I’m spending every single dollar every month and still being in debt.”
( 44:26 ): Michael says, “When you say invest, because a lot of people are like ‘what are these people talking about? What investments? Where do we get access? How do we do it?’”
( 48:36 ): Lauryn says, “So every single person listening to this podcast, you would advise to do at least 10% of your gross income a year. And if they’re not doing that, what would you say?”
( 1:09:54 ): Michael asks, “And what about some of these things like the single stocks?”
( 1:12:38 ): Lauryn asks, “Is a credit card a bad thing or a good thing or is it neither?”
