This week on THE SKINNY CONFIDENTIAL HIM & HER PODCAST…
( 0:55 ): Welcome back to TSC HIM & HER Show. #364: On today’s episode we are joined by Zak Williams is an entrepreneur and mental health advocate. He is also the son of late great Robin Williams. On today’s show we discuss mental health, how to remove stigmas, and how we can find community.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS WITH
( 5:42 ): Lauryn says, “Can you give our audience a little background on you?”
( 12:25 ): Michael says, “Having a father like that. At that level of fame, notoriety, so animated. As a kid, do you recognize who that is?
( 14:51 ): Lauryn asks, “Is that something you see a lot in the mental health space? People with these huge personalities that put it on and entertain, then they go home and it’s almost like they have to recharge their batteries by going to a different side of them? Does that make sense?
( 22:09 ): Lauryn says, “I find that suicide is so taboo. My mom committed suicide when so was 18. My sister was was 12. In this interview I knew it was going to be difficult for me to do because of the topic. I didn’t have anyone to talk to when I was 18. I don’t feel like that it’s changed that much. What advice would you give someone like me? Or do you not have any advice?”
( 29:49 ): Michael says, “Its almost like at what point does the media need to desensationalize something like that and share it? And the same thing with suicide. If you’re taking someone with a group of people that idolize them, I think you get in a dangerous spot.”
( 43:58 ): Michael asks, “How did you find this out?”
( 46:49 ): Michael says, “I imagine in the world of mental health awareness, we are seeing a rise of people having much more difficult. Maybe I’m wrong, and I think some of my frustration is there have been so much focus of coverage this year had been so singularly focused on this one area, with very little focus on some of the severe traumas during something like this. Maybe you could highlight that a little bit.”
( 48:02 ): Lauryn says, “Can you tell us about what your company does and what how it can help people?”
