Coco came on the show to share her story as a survivor of human trafficking and to discuss ways in which we can be aware of human trafficking and the human sex slave trade. This episode touches on many important and highly sensitive subjects.

( 32:33 ): Michael says, “I think starting, and we can get into more of your story, why do you think it is that people are so uncomfortable tackling it and talking about it?”
( 34:47 ): Lauryn says, “I would like to know why you think your mother thought that this was okay in the first place. Did something happen to her? How did she think in her psyche, ‘This makes sense.’”
( 43:00 ): Lauryn asks, “What are signs we can look for as parents, or teachers, or what are the signs we can see that something’s off?
( 46:16 ): Lauryn asks, “If there’s someone whose listening, that is any age, and feels like they might be an abusive situation, is there like a black and white checklist they can go through? Or is it not that easy?”
( 41:31 ): Lauryn says, “So walk us through when you were diagnosed with cancer. Did you just kind of like sweep the cancer under the rug to people that you were dealing with in work or did you bring them in and embrace the process?”
( 47:25 ): Lauryn says, “You talked about something earlier called disassociation. I think I might’ve experienced that before and I’m sure there’s a lot of people that have experienced that before. Can you talk about what that means for any kind of trauma?”
( 1:01:06 ): Lauryn asks, “So most porn isn’t two actors that are getting paid?”
( 1:02:36 ): Lauryn asks, “Do you see a lot of victims of abuse want to go on and have a family and have children? Or do you see them kind of push away from that because of all the trauma they’ve endured?”
