There are few fashion and lifestyle brands as instantly recognizable as LoveShackFancy. Its ultra-feminine, vintage-inspired aesthetic is more than a look.
It’s a whole lifestyle of pink palettes, garden-party florals, and whimsical details designed for brides, beach days, and everything pretty in between. Not only do we love it, but our founder, Lauryn Bosstick, and her daughter, Zaza, do too!
To learn more about the brand, Lauryn and Michael brought founder Rebecca Cohen on the Him & Her Show. There, they learned all about LoveShackFancy’s origin story and the incredible creative visionary behind it all. You can listen to the whole Rebecca Cohen podcast with TSC, but below we’ll share some highlights from the interview.
Who Is Rebecca Cohen? Meet the Visionary Behind LoveShackFancy

Rebecca Cohen is a former beauty editor who now runs LoveShackFancy. What started as a small side business, though, quickly ballooned into a thriving global brand. Her company values femininity, nostalgia, and a strong mother-daughter connection. These aren’t just talking points, though—they shape the branding, the mission, and the way Rebecca leads her company!
What Does Rebecca Hessel Cohen Do?

Founder and Creative Director of LoveShackFancy
Rebecca Hessel Cohen is the founder and creative director of LoveShackFancy. The company has grown into a global lifestyle brand offering apparel, bridalwear, accessories, home decor, and even beauty products.
As creative director, Rebecca oversees every detail—the prints, color palettes, silhouettes, fabrics, and all the little touches that define the brand’s signature look. Her perfectly pink LoveShackFancy world has had a major impact on contemporary fashion, inspiring countless brands.
Lifestyle and Fashion Influencer
LoveShackFancy’s trademark whimsical femininity is really just Rebecca’s own personal style. So, naturally, she brings that LSF vibe with her everywhere she goes. She also regularly collaborates with lifestyle, fashion, and beauty brands, which always show up in her signature florals, bows, and soft color palettes.
And on her social channels? She gives followers a look into her world. Rebecca shares everything from travel and styling to her design process, family moments, and even her approach to non-toxic living.
Mother of Two Daughters
Though LSF is something to be proud of, the real source of Rebecca’s joy is her two daughters, Scarlett and Stella. She draws so much inspiration from them, and their influence is woven into the brand’s designs and storytelling.
But it’s not all about work—Rebecca is very intentional about carving out time for her girls and setting strong work/life boundaries. You can hear her talk more about balancing family and business in her episode with TSC.
Philanthropist for Various Causes
Another thing Rebecca always makes time for is charity. She donates generously to causes that support women, children, education, and community. And she doesn’t just write a check—she also participates in fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and brand-led charity events. As with everything she does, Rebecca makes sure her charitable work aligns with her values and the LoveShackFancy mission.
You can find out more details about LoveShackFancy’s philanthropic efforts on their website. Right now, they’re raising money for the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, Breast Cancer Awareness, Eaton Fire support, and the Pacific Whale Foundation!

How Did Rebecca Cohen Start LoveShackFancy?
Grew Up Surrounded by the Fashion Industry
Rebecca was immersed in fashion from a very young age. Her mother was a beauty editor, so Rebecca regularly spent time diving into fashion archives, editorial sets, and vintage textiles. Those early experiences laid the foundation for her signature style.
Built a Career as a Fashion Editor
Rebecca followed right in her mom’s footsteps and became a beauty editor at Cosmopolitan magazine. There, she wrote beauty content, worked on product editorial shoots, and collaborated closely with stylists and designers. All of this editorial experience helped her understand the fashion industry from both the business and the consumer sides.
Designed Her Own Bridesmaids’ Dresses
It’s no surprise that Rebecca Cohen’s wedding was chic, soft, and romantic. But that aesthetic wasn’t exactly on-trend at the time, which made finding bridesmaid dresses nearly impossible.
So instead of giving up, Rebecca took matters into her own hands and made them herself. She hand-dyed linen dresses in her sink and styled the perfect cottagecore look. Soon enough, people started asking for their own versions.
Started a Fashion Side-Business
Versions of these bridesmaid dresses quickly became popular. Stylists borrowed them for shoots, boutiques asked to carry them, and hundreds of people began requesting custom orders.
Rebecca leaned into the momentum and started creating small drops from home. She sold mostly through word of mouth but also hosted trunk shows and worked on editorial shoots to showcase her designs.

Left Her Job at Cosmopolitan
As her side business grew, Rebecca realized just how much potential her brand had. She left her editor role at Cosmopolitan and poured all her skills and energy into her passion project. From there, she began sourcing fabrics, setting up production, and designing her first cohesive collection.
Launched LoveShackFancy
In 2013, she officially launched LoveShackFancy. One of her most iconic pieces, the Natasha dress, quickly gained attention. Stylists and influencers fell in love with the collection’s vintage silhouettes, ruffles, lace, and washed pastels. The brand was a success from the very start!
Collaborated with Hundreds of Brands
Over the years, Rebecca has overseen hundreds of strategic co-branding initiatives. These collaborations expanded the brand far beyond fashion into home decor, kids’ products, swimwear, sporting goods, and more! Each collab has LoveShackFancy’s signature style wrapped in a new package.

Scaled Into a Global Lifestyle Brand
Today, LoveShackFancy is a major global brand. They’ve expanded far beyond the Natasha dress and now offer women’s apparel, bridal attire, kidswear, accessories, home décor, and even beauty products.
Rebecca has also opened dozens of thriving stores and boutiques around the world. And even as the company grows, the fanbase remains incredibly loyal. Why? Because Rebecca’s creative vision is what’s driving and expanding the brand!

Is LoveShackFancy Worth It?
LoveShackFancy is definitely worth it! Especially if you’re drawn to ultra-feminine, hand-touched pieces like what we have here at The Skinny Confidential, you’ll instantly fall in love with their product line. With LSF, you’re investing in thoughtful design, quality fabrics, and pieces that feel like they were actually created with intention—not mass-produced fast fashion.
And honestly, it fits right into the whole Housewives-era fashion moment we’re all obsessed with right now. Madison LeCroy wears it flawlessly. She pairs the brand’s sweet, ruffled charm with her signature Southern style. It’s no surprise everyone wants to tap into that energy. If you want pieces that photograph beautifully, hold their shape, and give you that polished, playful, “showing up” energy, LoveShackFancy is one of those splurges that’s totally worth it!
