Danielle Bernstein is the creator of street style and personal blog turned brand, WeWoreWhat. She lives in New York City in a gorgeous loft downtown.
Danielle has lived in the state of New York for most of her life. It’s where she went to school (for the most part), where she grew up, and where she started her style blog!

Danielle was born on May 28, 1992. She is currently 32 years old and started her account 13 years ago. She began her account when she was a sophomore in college & only 19 years old! WOW!

Danielle began her blog in 2011. She was a sophomore at the Fashion Institute of Technology, after a brief stint at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
While her account may have helped her make her way in the fashion industry, it initially began as a fun passion project. She told us on the show how she loved photographing the street style of her classmates at FIT. Sharing it with her friends at other schools as inspiration was part of the fun!
After she began linking similar pieces and directing traffic to retail sellers, she realized she could make money as an influencer. She told us all about the beginning of the influencer industry on the show.
Her fashion brand, Second Skin Overalls
When Danielle first began her blog, her tagline was “Overalls are my second skin.” She loved overalls, but found that they often fit poorly. So, she decided to fix the problem by creating signature styles of overalls. Her hope was that they’d be overalls that fit and look fantastic, and she succeeded.
Her fashion brand, WeWoreWhat
After launching her company Second Skin Overalls & selling several collections with Onia and Joe’s Jeans, Danielle decided to bring all of her brands together. In doing so, she created her clothing company, WeWoreWhat. Her company sells clothing, swimwear, pajamas, perfume, and more!
Her tech company, MOE Assist
MOE 2.0, or MOE Assist is a platform designed to help influencers manage projects and payments. It’s named after her intern-turned-assistant, Moe. It’s the first product like it that is designed for influencers, by an influencer!
Her charitable arm, WeGaveWhat
WeGaveWhat is the charitable arm of WeWoreWhat. It was created in May 2020 in response to the global pandemic. It has since evolved and now supports organizations like the River Fund, which is a frontline poverty center in New York.
